Mark Eveleigh has written (and photographed) more than 500 travel features for some of the world’s best media. As a teenage backpacker he set out to live the endless summer and, after a few false starts, realized that the only way to do this effectively was as a travel writer. He hasn’t had a winter or a "steady job" for 17 years and doesn’t miss them yet.
He lives on the road and between assignments can often be found writing from a hammock anywhere he can find a frosty beer and a balmy lefthand surfbreak.
Although frequently called on to write on luxury travel, Mark thrives on expeditions and adventure assignments. He accepts paid magazine work virtually anywhere but admits to being slightly limited by the fact that he never makes room for a coat in his kitbag.
